One thing that you must know about me is that I’m a HUGE sweets fanatic! I love to have dessert after, before or for any meal. When I did the 47 Day Transformation a few months back, I took a hard look at what I consume on a daily basis. Counting my macros, I found it impossible to add in a chocolate chip cookie daily. I’m not the kind to give up dessert completely so I was on a search for treats that could fit my macros and satisfy my sweet tooth. Now that the challenge is long over, I still keep up on my macros but just in my head. I don’t track all of my food intake but now that I have the knowledge of what I should be eating, it makes it a lot easier to eat healthy and only consume what I have to. Except on cheat days of course!
I’ve recently found a few items I can stash in my freezer to make eating sweets a whole lot easier and better for my body. If you are watching your calories or just want something yummy to eat, here is where you want to pay attention!
Halo Top ice cream- this stuff is SO legit! It’s creamy and delicious and gives you the satisfaction of eating ice cream! The cake batter is my favorite flavor. Best part is the whole pint is only 240 calories!
Enlightened ice cream and bars- I’ve recently discovered the oatmeal caramel flavored ice cream and I’m pretty much addicted! The bars are also phenomenal. I’m a big fan of the hot cocoa flavor that has a marshmallow swirl and chocolate chips! Yum!
Changing up your eating helps a TON whether you are trying to lose weight or just become a healthier being. You don’t necessarily have to give up your favorite flavors if you find healthier alternatives to fit your new lifestyle.
